In Super Mario World, Baby Yoshis have the ability to remotely eat objects. In this footage (slowed down for demonstration purposes), the red Baby Yoshi eats two Koopa Troopas in a row, whereupon one of the three rotating platforms disappears.
It turns out that whenever a Baby Yoshi eats two objects in a row, whatever object is the most recently spawned one (the platform in this example) has a chance to also despawn as a glitch, essentially resulting in the Baby Yoshi eating one additional object without even touching it.

The title screen of Super Mario All-Stars employs a silhouette graphical effect to show a group of characters with the “lights out” before the lights come on and the group is revealed.
This “lights out” effect has actually been programmed in such a way that it can be applied to the entirety of the game by simply changing a single variable in the code at runtime. Here it is being applied to Super Mario Bros. gameplay, showing the beginning of World 1-1.

In Super Mario Bros. 3, the levels using a green hills tileset (e.g. World 1-2, seen in the footage) do not assign solid collision to the bottommost dark green layer of the ground.
Using a P-Wing power-up, it is thus possible to fly underneath nearly the entirety of these levels in the manner depicted.

BS Super Mario USA was an enhanced release of the Super Mario All-Stars version of Super Mario Bros. 2 (known as Super Mario USA in Japan) for the Satellaview. Gameplay would be accompanied by a recording of voice actors for the game’s cast providing a dramatic reenactment of the game’s events.
At specific set points during the reenactment, special events occur. Shown in the footage is the “giant vegetable rain” event, whereby one of the voice actors becomes angry and shouts about throwing vegetables around; this is then timed to the falling vegetables in-game.

In 2016, a cross-promotion event with Sonic Drive-In restaurant was used to promote Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam. Five toys were included with the “Sonic’s Wacky Pack” kids’ meal, a promotional GIF of which was posted on Nintendo of America’s various social media accounts. The GIF depicts the “Triple Bros. Drawing of Mario by Shigeru Miyamoto, found in the official Japanese guide for Super Mario All-Stars.
While the guide was published in 1993, the drawings included in it are stated to be a collection ranging from Mario’s entire history (and none of them have a specific year given), so this may be an extremely early drawing from the early 1980’s.

In the SNES version of Super Mario RPG, the Sheep Attack item has a very low chance of working on the bodyguards of the Machine Made Mack (known as “Claymorton” in the Switch version) boss in the Weapon World.
If it is used at the start of the battle and happens to turn all four bodyguards into sheep, Mack will jump offscreen (which he is only supposed to do when bodyguards are present, not when they have all been defeated). This leaves no enemies on the other side of the field, without ending the battle, leading to a severe glitch.
The next party member to attack (Mallow in the footage) will simply disappear upon attacking due to not having a valid target. At this point, the game will become unresponsive and will need to be reset to continue playing.
