In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, a glitch occurs with the Chain Chomp’s animation if Mario defeats it by touching it while invincible, but then finishes pounding its stake into the ground very quickly afterward.

The Chain Chomp’s “die from a star” animation will be interrupted by the “set free” animation, causing the Chain Chomp to briefly jump while facing backwards, as seen in the footage.

Early concept art for Yoshi’s Woolly World. Note Yoshi being extremely simple to the point of lacking arms; it is unknown if this is merely a simplification of the design for the purpose of concentrating on the background of the artwork, or if such a simple design was at some point actually considered.

In Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, a rare glitch may occur during online multiplayer mode whereby after picking up another player, the player will return to a “not holding anything” state while the picked-up player will continue to act as though being held, attached to the other player’s head.

Note how in the footage, Mario is seemingly simply standing on Luigi’s head while Luigi is able to perform actions he normally wouldn’t be able to if he was holding Mario.

Mario Artist: Paint Studio was a successor to Mario Paint for the Japan-exclusive 64DD add-on for the Nintendo 64. It supported four-player simultaneous drawing.

This pre-release footage from a 1998 Nintendo company report (with the program being called “Mario Artist: Picture Maker” at the time) showcases a Pikachu being drawn collaboratively by four players.

In Mario Kart Wii, Green Shells and Red Shells break when they hit bananas. However, the same is also true for Spiny Shells (known popularly as Blue Shells). Since Spiny Shells are usually in the air and bananas are usually on the ground, this can only be seen extremely rarely in practice.

For this, a racer must throw a banana backward with perfect timing during a descent from a jump to hit the Spiny Shell in mid-air, as shown with Bowser in the footage (note the blue flash signifying that the Spiny Shell has exploded).
