Officially licensed educational robot toy from Japan, featuring an original Super Mario Bros. picture alongside generic drawings. The robot’s wires can be touched to specific interaction points in the image, causing it to speak the name of the element of the image (e.g. “This is a Hammer Brother”) or play music related to it.

In Donkey Kong Country 3, the Tearaway Toboggan level requires using the toboggan, a vehicle that moves on its own similar to minecarts in other Donkey Kong titles. However, it is possible to skip the toboggan in the manner shown in the footage.

By jumping into the Buzz at the beginning of the level as Kiddy, Dixie can use the free jump afforded to the player after a hit to helicopter spin to the platform with the toboggan without actually landing in it.

This will allow the rest of the level to be played as a regular non-autoscrolling level, resulting in it being very easy due to being designed with the toboggan in mind.

Top: unused Peach hand models found in the files of Super Mario Galaxy. These have actually been imported directly from Super Mario Sunshine and are missing their original textures, resulting in looking like they have long fingernails.

Bottom: interestingly, Rosalina’s mid-quality model in the finished game (used when she is a medium distance away from the camera; at an even higher distance she switches to the low-quality model) has a very similar issue with her fingernails, whereby they are stretched to cover a large part of her fingers. Whether these phenomena are in any way related or this is a coincidence is unknown.

Original sketch for a frame of Balloon Mario from the production of the Super Mario World animated series. Due to the fact that his nose would be touching the bottom edge of the screen, the animators elected to not draw his mustache to save time.

A bizarre visual glitch occurs in the Nintendo Switch version of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door whereby Goombella can be turned sideways.

In the Battle Master battle tutorial, whenever Goombella performs Multibonk, hits the first two Stylish commands, but not the first actual Action Command, she will turn clockwise slightly. This can be done indefinitely many times to make her do full rotations, as long as she never successfully performs an Action Command.

Unused dialogue found in the files of Mario Party 8 that was intended for a Little Mouser character that would sell the player a map of King Boo’s Haunted Hideaway. The Little Mouser would have talked in a whimsical rhyming manner.

In Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, a glitch can occur in battles against Flounderflage enemies in Dozing Sands if they hit Luigi during a very specific frame of his jumping animation while he is at low HP.

If this occurs, Luigi will die, but Mario will not perform his usual “noticing Luigi is down” panic animation, nor will he pick Luigi up after the enemy attack is over. Instead, Mario will continue dancing forever with neither him nor the Flounderflages ever initiating another turn. The game will need to be reset to continue.
